Much of assisted living is still run by single-site and small regional operators. Many of them deliver excellent care but lack the purchasing power, technology, and management depth that larger groups take for granted. At the same time, the oldest baby boomers turn 80 this year, and demand for senior housing will keep climbing for the next two decades.
We believe the best returns in this sector come from combining good local communities under shared operations, and keeping the local character that made them good.
The 80+ population is the fastest growing age group in the country, and most assisted living residents come from it.
Thousands of independent owners operate one to five communities, with limited access to scale benefits.
Many founders are approaching retirement without a family successor or a clear exit path.
Our Approach
We are hands-on owners. Each acquisition follows the same path, from the first community we buy in a region through to a connected regional platform.
Partner with a well-run operator in a target region whose leadership and culture can anchor future growth.
Centralize billing, purchasing, compliance, and recruiting so community leaders can spend their time on residents.
Acquire nearby independent communities and bring them onto the shared platform with a clear integration plan.
Put capital back into buildings, staffing, training, and memory care programs that raise quality and occupancy.
Leadership
Stoneshore pairs hands-on operating experience in caregiving with decades of M&A, finance, and legal work. The same people who evaluate your community will be the ones who close and run it.

For Operators
The right buyer protects your residents, your staff, and your name.
Continuity of care comes first. We avoid disruptive changes during and after a transition.
We keep good people in place and give them training, benefits, and paths to advance.
Full exits, partial sales, and staged transitions are all on the table.
Conversations are confidential, and we move from first call to close with clear, direct communication.
What You Get With Stoneshore
Choose to keep a percentage of your business and you become an equity participant in a platform targeting more than $500M in enterprise value.
Larger platforms typically command higher valuation multiples than single communities. The share you keep can grow in value as the platform grows.
Shared billing, purchasing, compliance, HR, and technology reduce overhead expenses so more of each dollar goes to residents and margin.
Investment Criteria
If your community is close to this profile, we would still like to talk. Fit matters more than any single number.
